Questions & Answer

We’re committed to offering more than just products—we provide exceptional experiences.

JFK is in the borough of Queens, about 16 miles (25 km) from Midtown Manhattan, serving as New York City’s main international airport.

JFK currently operates multiple passenger terminals (including Terminals 1, 4, 5, 7 and 8), with major construction underway to replace and modernise older facilities, including the new Terminal One project.

JFK is a major hub for American Airlines and Delta Air Lines and the primary base for JetBlue, while dozens of international carriers use JFK for long‑haul flights to and from every continent.

A major winter storm in February 2026 has caused significant travel impacts, and passengers are being advised to check real‑time flight status with their airline before heading to the airport.

From 1 February 2026, all travellers 18+ on U.S. domestic flights must show a REAL ID‑compliant licence or other acceptable ID; those who do not have one must use TSA’s ConfirmID process, which costs about 45 USD and can cause delays.

When the first phase of the New Terminal One opens in 2026, U.S. citizens arriving internationally will be able to use a new biometric identity verification system called Enhanced Passenger Processing (EPP) to speed up CBP inspection, while still being able to opt out and use the standard line.

Travellers can use the AirTrain JFK to connect with the New York City Subway and Long Island Rail Road, or take yellow taxis, app‑based rides, shuttle buses and private cars directly from the terminals.

Your airline and booking confirmation will list your terminal and gate; terminal assignments are also shown in the airport’s real‑time flight‑search tool and on terminal information boards.

Check your ID for REAL ID compliance, arrive earlier than usual to account for construction and weather, monitor your flight status frequently, and use AirTrain and real‑time taxi or traffic information to plan your journey to the airport.
