DFW sits midway between Dallas and Fort Worth (about 20 miles from Dallas, 24 miles from Fort Worth), accessible via major highways including I-35E, I-35W, I-20, I-30, SH-183 and SH-114.

American Airlines is the dominant hub carrier (85%+ of seats), with American Eagle regional operations; other airlines include Spirit, Frontier, United, Delta and international carriers at Terminal D.

Terminal F is a $4 billion expansion (first phase $1.6 billion) adding 31 gates, modernized baggage systems, a dedicated parking garage, check-in/security and walking connection to Terminal D; first 15 gates open 2027.
